Building W20: Stratton Student Center

Centrally located, open twenty-four hours per day and seven days per week, the Stratton Student Center offers places to gather, study, dine, do errands, and relax. The first floor serves as a campus commons where students congregate and meet. With more than forty student offices and lounges, seven dining venues, a reading room with group study spaces, the campus’ largest Athena Cluster, an art gallery, an MIT Coop bookstore, a dry cleaner, two hairdressers, an optical shop, two banks, a supermarket, caffeine outlets, a post office, and several important Division of Student Life offices, there truly is something for everyone at the Student Center!

This was a one example where you just go and get to see some of the differences in cultures. I was there once, on travelling, but really liked the event. There aren't to many things like that for learning about the various folk dances and not limited to the moves and steps. The group was friendly and the facilities at MIT are also welcoming, safe and to a high standard.
