Foundations of Deep Learning: An Introduction
Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 2:00pm to 5:00pm
Admiralty Center, Hong Kong, China
Please join MIT Professional Education for this inaugural workshop ofFoundations of Deep Learning: An Introduction, taking place at Admiralty Center, Hong Kong, China on October 10, 2018. This three-hour workshop will be conducted by MIT professor Vivienne Sze, a renowned leader in building energy-efficient and high-performance systems and system design for deep learning.
Deep learning is widely used for many artificial intelligence (AI) applications including computer vision, speech recognition, robotics, etc. While deep learning delivers state-of-the-art accuracy on many AI tasks, it demands high computational complexity. Accordingly, designing efficient hardware systems to support deep learning is an important step towards enabling its wide deployment, particularly for embedded applications such as mobile, Internet of Things (IOT), and drones.
During the workshop, Professor Sze will provide an overview of recent advances towards enabling the efficient processing of deep learning. She will discuss various hardware platforms and architectures that support deep learning, and highlight key trends.
