Confronting Displacement: An inter-generational oral history of Bedouin women in the Negev/Naqab

Please join the Displacement Research Action Network to host Dr. Safa Aburabia, a visiting Post Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Anthropology at Harvard University, in conversation with Professor Erica James of MIT DUSP. Dr. Aburabia will be sharing her research, “Outside History”, which explores intergenerational activism and storytelling amongst Bedouin women in southern Palestine/Israel, and the importance of women’s voices and perceptions on issues related to land, place, and displacement. Professor James will be responding on the role of qualitative research methods and anthropological approaches for planning and human rights research.
