Food for Thought: Fun with the English Language

Ever wonder why we pronounce "roasted", "cooked", and "fried" differently even though they all end in -ed? Do you know the difference between a "top banana" and a "second banana"?  Laurie Scott and Mariana Castro, English Conversation teachers with the MIT Women's League, will take us on a flavorful journey, exploring the strange quirks in the English language, while focusing  on one of our favorite topics, food.
