The MIT Department of Mathematics welcomes Raymond Goldstein, Professor at the University of Cambridge, as the speaker for the annual Simons Lecture Series.

Professor Goldstein will present a sequence of three lectures from April 27 - 29 on the theme:

Evolution of Biological Complexity

  • Lecture 1: Stirring Tails of Evolution

  • Lecture 2: The Geometry of Multicellular Life

  • Lecture 3: Decision-Making Without a Brain

Each day, a reception will be held at 4:00 PM in Room 2-290, followed by the lecture at 4:30 PM in Room 2-190.

The Simons Lecture Series features presentations by leading mathematicians and is made possible through the generous support of the late Jim Simons and Marilyn Simons.
