https://libcal.mit.edu/calendar/events/IntroToGEELearn the fundamentals of Google Earth Engine (GEE), a cloud-based platform that enables large-scale processing of satellite imagery for remote sensing analyses. Learning goals include writing code with JavaScript, uploading shapefiles, and learning where to locate and import different datasets. We’ll review the GEE Code Editor, sample some scripts to practice with the interface, and review resources for utilizing GEE for analysis.
Participants will be required to have a Google Earth Engine account, and new users will need to request accounts at least 1 week in advance of the workshop.
Bring your MIT ID to tap into the GIS & Data Lab. The mobile ID will not work.
