Nina Jankowicz studies the intersection of democracy and technology in Central and Eastern Europe. She is currently a disinformation fellow at the Wilson Center’s Science and Technology Innovation Program. Jankowicz is the author of How To Lose the Information War: Russia, Fake News, and the Future of ConflictHer writing has been published by The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Atlantic. She is a frequent commentator on disinformation and Russian and Eastern European affairs.

Peter Pomerantsev is a Soviet-born British journalist, author and TV producer. He is a visiting senior fellow at the Institute of Global Affairs at the London School of Economics, where he co-directs the Arena program. He is also an associate editor at Coda Story. Pomerantsev has written two books about Russian disinformation and propaganda: Nothing Is True and Everything Is Possible (2014) and This Is Not Propaganda (2019).

A session of the Focus on Russia Lecture Series co-chaired by Elizabeth Wood, professor of history at MIT and faculty director of the MIT Russia Program; and Carol Saivetz, a senior advisor in the MIT Security Studies Program (SSP).
