Summary/abstract: Join Dr. Alexandre Mansourov, professor of security studies at Georgetown University, as he examines new directions and policy priorities in Pyongyang’s national security strategy, which reflect the DPRK’s growing power capabilities and Kim Jong Un’s redefinition of national interests in the emerging multipolar world, in the context of the North’s evolving national self-identification within the confines of the Juche ideology, traditional conservative values, and rigid political regime.
