The MIT Libraries’ Committee for the Promotion of Diversity and Inclusion (CPDI) invites you to a special event commemorating Juneteenth (the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States) with a discussion about the intersection of race, archives, and libraries. Jarrett Drake, PhD student in Social Anthropology at Harvard and advisory archivist for A People’s Archive of Police Violence in Cleveland, will be in conversation with MIT Libraries Teaching & Learning Program Manager and Liaison Librarian for Comparative Media Studies/Writing, Sofia Leung. This event is free and open to the public.
