Lack of motivation. Imposter Syndrome. Learning from failure. Nathan Hall started the popular Academics Say social media accounts as a response to the culture of academia. He is an associate professor at McGill University. His social media accounts have hundreds of thousands of followers on Twitter and Facebook. Those accounts are also a research project, with Professor Hall recruiting participants for related studies. In this session, he will share his findings on motivation and well-being from his lab and how these accounts have struck a chord with academics
