In this very unique event we will explore the mixture of two concepts, art and black holes. How the simplicity of some drawings can inspire new ideas in black hole physics, and how the black holes have inspired the creation of some of these drawings. The canvases represent moments of the past two years life of Dr. Javier Viaña, researcher at the Kavli Institute of Astrophysics at MIT. The figures while abstract they embody the essence of daily little things.

From the series of Art After Dark, this event gathers the MIT community to socialize, celebrate science, and dance with the music while immersed in the art of “La Hiedra”.
