Belonging and Connectedness at MIT: Community Voices

Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 4:00pm to 5:30pm

Building 14, The Nexus, 14S-130
160 MEMORIAL DR, Cambridge, MA 02139

Join us on Wednesday, November 16, 4pm – 5:30pm, for a panel including MIT faculty, staff, and students discussing "Belonging and Connectedness at MIT: Community Voices", an event inspired by this semester's MIT Reads selection.

Building on themes discussed in Together by Vivek K Murthy - which sheds light on the importance of human connectedness in an often lonely world - panelists will share their perspectives on belonging and connectedness at the Institute, including: common challenges in connecting with each other, creative solutions to help build a more connected institute, finding and creating joy, and much more - and plenty of time for your questions and ideas, too.

  • Larry Anderson, Head Coach, MIT Men’s Basketball Team and Head of House, Tang Hall
  • Yunbeen Bae ‘24, Medlink and Wellbeing Ambassador
  • Megan Jordan, Associate Director, MindHandHeart
  • Thea Keith-Lucas, Chaplain to the Institute
  • Franklin Nguyen ‘25, Medlink and Wellbeing Ambassador

Hybrid event. Registration is required for either the in-person option (MIT community members only) or the livestream option (open to all.)
