Speaker: This week our Biology Colloquium Series hosts a special event: a "Science Slam!"  Eight graduate students and postdocs have three minutes to present their research projects in a compelling way. Come learn about 8 exciting projects, and cheer these participants on as they compete to earn favor with audience members and with judges, including Emilie Marcus, editor-in-chief of Cell and CEO of Cell Press; Ellen Clegg, editorial page editor of the Boston Globe and author of Chemobrain: How Cancer Therapies Can Affect Your Mind; and Ari Daniel, independent science reporter and multimedia producer and Boston producer of Story Collider. The event takes place at the Stata Center's Kirsch Auditorium, 32-123, at 4:00PM.  Contact: Linda Earle lkn@mit.edu
