We continue to see ever-growing and continuously expanding attacks that aim to restrict bodily sovereignty from bans on gender-affirming care for all ages and abortion restrictions to cutting access to knowledge through book bans and defunding programs centering gender studies, diversity, and critical race theory among others. White supremacist systems and legislation work in tandem to limit and regulate body sovereignty, particularly of people with marginalized identities. Reproductive justice centers the need for access to contraception, comprehensive sex education, abortion, birthing options, safety, etc, and works in conjunction with trans liberation, racial equity, disability justice, and other movements. Join us for a panel that will analyze our current political state, the work advocates and researchers have done, and the future for justice movements in the fight for reproductive justice.
