The MIT Chinese Alumni Group invites you to a free 5 session course with Gary S. Hom SM '81. Gary will teach novices and experienced painters the fundamentals of Chinese brush paintings. He will cover the classical four gentlemen for novices and go onto more advanced topics. Emphasis will be on brush stroke techniques and the composition of subject matter. This course is offered under the sponsorship of the MIT Chinese Alumni Group. 

The 5 sessions are Monday January 6 through Friday January 10, from 11AM to 12 Noon EST. Participants are expected to attend all sessions. However, since these sessions are targeted toward novices, there will be a continuity review from one session to another. Materials and supplies such as ink, brushes, and rice paper are highly recommended for this class.
