This session will introduce a framework for beginning an administrative research project to answer questions and inform decision making at MIT. We will cover scope, research subjects, resource inventory, existing data, and other considerations related to administrative data collection and analysis. 

 

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand available resources at MIT
  • Develop a framework for evaluating the process of data gathering
  • Identify benefits and limitations of both existing data and new data collections
  • Articulate clear research questions

 

Coffee and light refreshments will be served immediately prior to event. All MIT community members are welcome, although this workshop aims to primarily support MIT administrative staff.
