This introductory session will provide an overview of concepts and tools for visualizing data. Topics will include use cases and tool selection, data processing workflows, and principles for creating effective visualizations. Attendees will also be introduced to web-based, open-source tools that provide beginner and intermediate users with richer functionality than traditional desktop spreadsheet and graphics software.
