Bad visualizations. We’ve all seen them and probably even made them. But what makes a figure for publication or presentation good? What are the common pitfalls and how do you avoid them? This workshop will delve into the common traps in making visualizations that can leave your audience guessing or misinformed. Attendees will gain a better understanding of how to identify and tackle their own figure hiccups.

This session does not focus on learning specific visualization tools/software but rather the best practices for any data visualization creator.
