According to a Glassdoor survey, approximately 80% of millennials  say they would not even apply for a job if they believed the company had a gender pay gap. Closing the pay equity gap has been a major focus of industry, lawmakers, and activists in recent years.

Join CAPD and the Pay Equity Group for a discussion around the importance of pay equity and additional topics including:

- Gender wage gap

- Differences in industries

- Gender-based pay discrimination

- Occupational segregation

- States where women fare best and worst for equal pay

- White House Pay Equity Pledge and what it means

- Student Q&A

Also, hear from members of the MIT Pay Equity Group to hear what MIT is doing to close the gap both on and off campus! This event open to MIT graduate students, undergraduates and post docs. Registration required via Handshake.
