About this Event
As AI transforms how we learn and work, designing related technologies to be culturally responsive is more important than ever. Sharifa Alghowinem of MIT’s Personal Robots Group will discuss how her team is using artificial intelligence and social robotics to support language, literacy, and emotional development for Arabic-speaking refugee children. This project offers a model for how AI can enable inclusive learning experiences across languages and geographies—unlocking insights for global workforce training, digital inclusion, and the ethical design of human-centered AI systems.
