Prof. Catherine D'Ignazio and Wonyoung So (DUSP / Data + Feminism Lab) on Audit the Streets, December 2nd, 5:15 pm, in The Nexus.

Audit the Streets is a multimodal research project that catalogs uneven and inequitable commemoration practices in the US landscape. It includes a national-scale database, a data story about places commemorating Christopher Columbus, a zine about counter-Columbus contestations, an investigation of the prevalence of commemorating landed white Harvard men in Cambridge, and a research paper that draws from Black and Indigenous feminisms to theorize audits.
