As synthetic media technologies advance, the line between authentic and artificial content continues to blur, posing significant challenges to our information ecosystem. Security expert Massimo Pani examines the state of deepfake technology and disinformation campaigns, their societal impact, and the emerging regulatory frameworks designed to combat them, including the EU AI Act and other initiatives.
