Are you interested in exploring yoga but not sure how to start? Join Catherine for this introduction to the principles and practices of yoga.
We will start with a short lecture covering some of the foundations of yoga philosophy, as well as go over what to expect in a gentle yoga class for beginners. We will then demonstrate a series of basic breath practices, warm-ups, and postures. You are welcome to participate actively or just watch!
To participate, we encourage clothing that allows for movement and space around you.
Registration is required on our wellness class website. If you do not already have an account on this website, you'll need to create one. This workshop is free and open to the entire MIT community.
