Abstract :  Steenrod operations are great, so clearly, quantum Steenrod operations must be even more spectacular. These are operations on the mod p cohomology of a smooth complex algebraic variety (or symplectic manifold), defined under certain assumptions. In fact, we know very little about them. Against the background of this lack of understanding, and the complexity of the actual definition, I will do my best to give you an idea of the subject.
