About this Event
Graduate students and postdocs need to present their ideas clearly to diverse audiences. For the general public, funding agencies, hiring managers, blog posts, video interviews, social settings, and scientists from other fields – you need to communicate in ways that are distinctly different than the rigorous forms of scientific communication that you use with peers. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to consider the needs of your target audience, how to form your ideas into a coherent and interesting story, and how to leave your listeners with a positive image of you and your work.
