About this Event
Many MIT students explore potential career paths and fields of interest through experiential learning opportunities. These opportunities often take the form of UROPs, clubs, and classes. However, another common approach to professional development and career exploration includes pursuing internships in industry settings. From startups to large corporations, and everything in between, the jungle of industry opportunities out there can prove difficult to navigate as a newcomer. In this workshop, students will learn more about different types of industry opportunities and how to make the most out of them. Students will also learn about the various types of companies out there, and what type of company suits their present interests–and self–the best. This event is specifically geared toward first-year and sophomore students, but the materials are helpful for any early career student hoping to learn more about the different kinds of industry opportunities out there.
