Join the MIT List Visual Arts Center for a screening of the documentary First Person Singular: I.M. Pei by director Peter Rosen.

Filmed all the world over a two-year period, this documentary takes a closer look at the architect and MIT Alumni, I.M. Pei, responsible for multiple buildings across campus, including the Wiesner Building and the Green Building. Learn more through a short presentation about I.M. Pei's work and connection to MIT's campus prior to the film screening.

Independent Activities Period (IAP)

This program is part of the Independent Activities Period (IAP), a special four-week term at MIT. IAP 2023 begins on Monday, January 9, 2023, and ends on Friday, February 3, 2023. Guests from outside the MIT community are welcome to attend all in-person events. 

This winter, the List Center will be taking a deeper look at the lives and work of select artists within our Public Art Collection. Join us in the Bartos Theater for film screenings Wednesday evenings at 5:30 PM throughout the IAP session.
