Rebecca Heywood serves as Governments Lead at U.S. Digital Response, a non-profit that places experienced, pro-bono technologists to work with government and organizations responding to crisis, to quickly deliver critical services and infrastructure that support the needs of the public. She has spent 10 years working to strengthen the public sector's ability to make positive change for constituents. Her past experience includes serving as the Director of Performance and Process Improvement at the MBTA in Boston, as an internal consultant in New York City government focused on government hiring, accessibility and COVID response, and as a transportation planner in New York City, Sao Paulo and Mumbai. While at MIT she was active in Women's Openweight Crew, Engineers without Borders, WILG and Queers in the Built Environment.

Registration required via Handshake. Space is limited to 30 people. This CAPD event is open to MIT undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, and alumni. Attendees will receive Uber Eats credits.

Infinite Careers is an alumni speaker series designed to expose students to a variety of career paths and the non-linearity of career decision making. This series allows students to hear the stories of alumni with both traditional and unconventional career paths, and get to know alumni in interesting fields.
