About this Event
32 VASSAR ST, Cambridge, MA 02139
This is an introduction to posit computing. Posits are a replacement for the IEEE standard floating point notation used in most programming languages. The case for using posits is substantially made in the new book on the topic. A full description of the numerical notation, as well as usage cases, will be presented. We will also have an AMA discussion with the author.
If you missed it, here is the bulk of the presentation.
