DESCRIPTION:Are you new to working with satellite imagery and want to learn
more about how it can be accessed and used in research? Do you want to sha
re how you have been using Planet imagery and learn from peers?\n\nThis dis
cussion will introduce you to the Planet imagery subscription at MIT. Plane
t is an integrated aerospace and data analytics company that operates the l
argest fleet of earth observation satellites in history. Planet has more th
an 7\,000 users studying a wide variety of disciplines\, including climate
change in the cryosphere\, terrestrial ecosystems and vegetation dynamics\,
wildlife biology\, threats to coral reefs and other marine habitats\, agri
cultural productivity\, and disaster response and humanitarian assistance.\
n\nWe will share results from Planet’s research partner network\, synthesiz
e the potential scientific value of Planet’s persistent monitoring capabili
