Virtual Event

If you set a goal to develop a habit of writing every day, join us for Writing Together Online (WTO) to make progress on your research and writing projects. Our 90-minute writing sessions create a community of scholars who connect, set realistic goals, and write together to motivate each other. This program is offered by the Writing and Communication Center at MIT and is open to all MIT students, postdocs, faculty, and staff writing papers, proposals, thesis/dissertation chapters, application materials, and other writing projects.

The Spring 2023 writing marathon will consist of two challenges.

Challenge 1: Monday, February 13 through Friday, March 24
Challenge 2: Monday, April 3 through Friday, May 19

Please register for any number of sessions:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 9–10:30am (EST)
Tuesday and Thursday, 7:30–9am (EST)
Wednesday, 3–4:30pm (EST)

Those who attend at least 5 sessions during one challenge will be entered into the raffle of three gift-card prizes taking place on Friday, March 24th (Challenge 1) or Friday, May 19th (Challenge 2). The more you participate, the more times you will be entered into the raffle of prizes.
