Note:  This class is currently full.  If you would like to join the lecture portion of each class, you are welcome to attend.  But registration for the practical portion is full and we will not be adding any more students at this time.  To attend the lecture portions, please contact us at the email listed below.

This 4 week class will explore various topics about the traditional Japanese kimono, including: history, patterns, seasonality, and styling.  Each class will also include a practical kimono dressing lesson with full rental outfits available for every student.  We will cover how to wear both a summer cotton yukata and a full silk kimono.  The class will meet once a week for 1.5 hours across all four weeks of IAP.  Attendance at every class is not mandatory, but attending the first two classes at a minimum is strongly encouraged.

The Monday class will focus on women's kimono, but anyone interested in encouraged to sign up.

A one-time $10 fee is required to reserve your spot for the kimono dressing portion of the class - all fees will be used to provide rental kimono to students.  To register, please email the instructor.
