Launching & Funding a MedTech Company: The Leuko Story

Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Virtual Event

Are you a first-time founder looking to navigate the complexities of your first major fund raise?
Hear and learn from the story of Leuko, a MedTech startup spun out of MIT, and their strategy of financing the business through grants and early investors.  Leuko has closed Pre-Seed, Seed and Series A rounds of financing and are well on their way in product development.  Good Growth Capital and MassVentures will provide their perspectives on funding and supporting Leuko and other ventures coming out of MIT and other institutions. VMS mentor Paul Hartung will moderate, raising some prepared questions, and then opening up to audience Q&A.
Leuko is developing a non-invasive finger test for monitoring white-blood cells at home for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.  The company has received a number of awards and recognition, including MassChallenge, EIT Health Catapult, and Philips Fellowship.
Join this zoom event to hear first-hand perspectives on raising venture capital as an early-stage startup. Although this is a story of a MedTech venture, the learnings will be applicable to innovators across sectors. Join us to strengthen your fund-raising strategy and gain real world, real time, founder insights on raising capital through non-dilutive and equity financing sources.
The event will begin with a short introduction by the moderator, followed by an overview of the Leuko journey by the CEO, perspectives from the investor panelists, a moderated panel discussion, and audience Q&A.
Regardless of where you are in your entrepreneurial journey, please register and join us. All are welcome. Pre-registration is required.
