DESCRIPTION:Free and open to all.\n\nThis workshop-style event introduces y
 oung children to the art of dance using patterns\, movement\, words\, musi
 c\, and storytelling.\n\nHaitian Folkloric rhythms (played by Jean Appolon
  Expressions’ Master Drummers) and movements are woven into the class in
  a child-friendly fashion. Students will explore a social justice theme th
 rough age-appropriate literature\, conversation\, and movement. Past and f
 uture themes include kindness\, acceptance\, noticing and appreciating dif
 ferences\, identity\, standing up against injustice\, and love. This progr
 am is geared towards ages 3-10\, but all are welcome!\n\nPresented in coll
 aboration with Jean Appolon Expressions\, this class is co-taught by Artis
 tic Director Jean Appolon (he/him/his) and Executive Director/Dancer Megha
 n McGrath (she/her/hers) and accompanied by Master Drummers Josil Rebert a
 nd Arnaud Lauture.
