TITLE: Introduction and organizational meeting

ABSTRACT: I will introduce positive geometries, a class of spaces that include convex polytopes, nonnegative parts of toric varieties, and totally nonnegative flag varieties.  I will explain motivations from the physics of scattering amplitudes.  We will then discuss what topics to cover this semester.
