Parkinson's disease (PD) was first identified by James Parkinson as the “Shaking Palsey” in 1817. The term “shaking” stuck, but the disease has progressed to encompass a cadre of movement and non-movement symptoms. Steve DeWitte was diagnosed with PD in March 2005 at the age of 48. He will share the hardships and joys of living with a progressive degenerative Neurological condition.
