About this Event
You’re invited to the Office of Multicultural Programming's 2021 MC^2 Multicultural Conference!
The conference is FREE and for MIT grads and undergrads only!
Register here! Spots are limited.
The mission of the Multicultural Conference is to bring students together across race, ethnicity, gender, religion, nationality, socioeconomic status, ability, sexual orientation and other aspects of identity. This overnight conference offers both team-building activities and a thought-provoking day of individual and group learning, reflection, and action-planning concerning culture, identity and social justice at MIT and beyond.
The theme for this year’s conference is Recalibrate: A New Chapter.
In our conversations as a committee, experiences of trauma, pain and grief kept coming up and highlighted the groups' shared expression and awareness of our collective mental and physical health during these past years. However, though these experiences have been painful, isolating and challenging, they are also meaningful and come with knowledge, insight and resilience that can help us reimagine and navigate how we intend, or hope to dream about the future; a new chapter! We hope students and staff alike will leave the conference rejuvenated and inspired to reimagine the emergence of a new world created from the connection of our collective experience in this “new normal''.
