About: Launched as a presidential initiative, the MIT Generative AI Impact Consortium (MGAIC) is driven by bold, transformative goals that are designed to unlock the full power of generative AI and drive meaningful, far-reaching change. This impactful consortium brings together corporate leaders and MIT's leading researchers to focus on urgent applications of generative AI across disciplines, such as life sciences, health, climate sustainability, finance, and education. MGAIC aims to envision the future of education and work enabled by AI, develop a deeper understanding of AI's societal impacts, educate global business leaders on AI applications, and produce open-source solutions.

The consortium is led by MIT’s Office of Innovation and Strategy and administered by the MIT Schwarzman College of Computing.
