MIT GCFP, with MIT South Asian Alumni Association, Sangam MIT Indian Students Association, and MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI) MIT-India Program, presents a discussion with Dr. Viral Acharya, C.V. Starr Professor of Economics in the Department of Finance at NYU Stern School of Business and former Deputy Governor at the Reserve Bank of India.

Dr. Acharya will discuss with GCFP Director Deborah Lucas his best-selling book Quest for Restoring Financial Stability in India*, stemming from his time at the RBI (2017–2019). The discussion will revolve around the lessons not just for India, but also for the post-pandemic world, as the boundary between monetary and fiscal policy measures gets blurred.
