About this Event
At this Friday's Mobility Forum Prof. John Paul MacDuffie will present "New paths for solving emergent problems of the EV sector"
Electric vehicle (EV) adoption and diffusion has now moved beyond questions of “whether” and “chicken and egg” debates to questions of “when” and “how” around a set of still-thorny but more tractable problems. The expansion of EV supply and multiple forces affecting EV demand are creating favorable conditions for a swarm of innovations, some visible, some behind the scenes, from both private and public sectors, that will yield promising paths for addressing these problems. Steps forward may reveal new and unexpected problems yet the overall trajectory is promising. Examples will include innovations in EV batteries (from chemistry to manufacturing to supply chains); access to EV charging infrastructure; and EV affordability.
