Join us as we gather each Monday in the chapel for a time of reflection and inspiration. We will eat a brief lunch together at 12:00pm in the Main Dining Room of W11 (lunch provided, including kosher options), and then convene in the MIT Chapel at 12:30pm for music and meaningful dialogue on the idea of FLOURISHING.

NOTE: On April 2, we will meet at noon in the W11 Community Room; on April 9, we will meet after lunch outside the Chapel at 12:30pm.

Mondays in the Chapel offer a needed pause in the often-frenzied pace of daily life, to thoughtfully engage with the issues that impact our campus, our community, and the world-at-large. Gathering regularly in communal examination of ideas that traverse our individuality allows us to remain grounded in an informed humility and acknowledgement of the commonalities that unite us here at the institute, as we engage in the pursuit of academic knowledge and scholarly excellence.

Together we will examine several themes each semester. The hope is that in this space, we will begin to gain a greater understanding of one another, through engagement in conversations across viewpoints and ideologies and the enjoyment of music that nourishes our souls. The music will be provided by MIT Chapel Artist-in-Residence Nedelka F. Prescod (‪www.nedelkaprescod.com).

Please join us any Monday when classes are in session. This event is free and open to all. Mondays in the Chapel is sponsored by Chaplain to the Institute and Director of the Office of Religious Life, Rev. Kirstin C. Boswell-Ford. Please contact Christina English at cenglish@mit.edu or 617-253-7707 for questions or more information.
