The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is one of 17 Department of Energy National Labs and it is the only national lab dedicated to energy efficiency and renewable energy. Its mission is to advance the science and engineering of energy efficiency, sustainable transportation, and renewable power technologies and provide the knowledge to integrate and optimize energy systems.

NREL is doing work across the renewable energy spectrum including solar, wind, bioenergy, geothermal, wave and water research. Additionally, research is being conducted in advanced manufacturing, buildings, computational science, energy storage, international policy, and energy justice.

Please join NREL’s Undergraduate Intern Program Manager, Marcus Giron, for a special session for Harvard and MIT students where he will give an overview of some exciting research taking place at NREL! He will also review internship opportunities at NREL and past undergraduate intern research projects.

This event is geared toward undergraduate students, but graduate students are welcome.
