  pilot new SERC course materials in collaboration with postdocs and facult
 y.\n\nEngage with external partners to advance AI in the public interest.\
 n\nConduct research in a new\, exciting cross-disciplinary area.\n\nSERC S
 cholars will have the opportunity to work on 1 of 5 projects\, such as mis
 information\, surveillance\, climate justice\, trolling\, and design justi
 ce. Undergraduates will be required to participate in one of these project
 s. Graduate students will have the option to join a project or work with f
 aculty action groups. Each project will meet weekly for approximately one 
 hour. SERC Scholars are required to attend these meetings.\n\nOpen to all 
 MIT undergraduate and graduate students.\n\nThe deadline to apply is Septe
