DESCRIPTION:Alan Schwartz\n\nThe Search for (more) CP Violation\n\nAbstract
:\nOne of the ingredients needed to explain why our Universe consists of m
atter rather than antimatter is CP violation\, the violation of charge-con
jugation + parity symmetry. Two Nobel Prizes have been awarded for CP viol
ation\, covering both experimental and theoretical work. Yet\, we still do
not observe enough CP violation to explain the baryon asymmetry of the Un
iverse. In this talk I'll review what we've learned about CP violation fro
m B and D meson decays\, and discuss future prospects in this area for the
recently upgraded experiments Belle II and LHCb.
