Details: Sports analytics is a growing field. How do you get in the game with numbers? What types of questions can be examined? This talk will discuss outlooks that help with successful analytics and a variety of questions that can be analyzed inside and outside the mathematical classroom. From biometric data to box scores to brackets for March Madness, sports applications abound. This talk will discuss the data, analysis and insights available and evolving in sports analytics. Further, it will discuss how to jump into the game with a group of students.
