Is the upcoming U.S. election causing you anxiety and distraction during work and at home? If so, you are not alone. In fact, according to the American Psychological Association, an increasing number of American adults (73%) consider the 2024 election to be a significant source of stress, impacting mental health and sleep.

Join our pre-election virtual workshop to gain information, strategies, and resources that will help you cope with election-related stress. This 90-minute workshop will include a combination of lecture, discussion, and non-political psychology exercises to help you navigate feelings of uncertainty.

During this session, you will learn how to cope with election-related stress and engage in peaceful political disagreement. Topics will include:

  • Exploring common cognitive pitfalls, including worry, catastrophizing, and moral empathy gaps
  • Creating shared moral grounding amidst rising political polarization and identity politics
  • Developing a coping plan by learning more about thoughtful media consumption
