Title: Lojasiewicz Inequality and Applications in Geometry

Abstract: Lojasiewicz inequality is a fundamental inequality in real algebraic geometry. However, it is surprising that it can be used to prove some deep results in geometric analysis. In this talk I will introduce this interesting inequality and show some applications in understanding the uniqueness of the limit of gradient flows and the fixed points in elliptic problem.
