Wednesday, March 02, 2022 at 1:00pm to 2:30pm

Virtual Event

Would you like to enhance your presentation skills and learn how to deliver with impact? This spring, MIT will hold its Second Institute-wide Research Slam Competition, featuring postdocs and PhD students. The event will follow the format of 3-Minute Thesis (3MT), a competition hosted by over 200 universities worldwide. Each participant will present their research and its significance in just 3 minutes - for a chance to win prizes! To prepare, this activity-based workshop will help you build confidence as a presenter and will equip you with life-long tools to deliver your ideas eloquently, engagingly, and effectively. Come ready to participate! The submission deadline for the Research Slam videos will be March 15, and the showcase and judging will take place on April 11. The communication skills you learn will pay off in your job hunt and networking—plus you'll have a great video to feature on LinkedIn and other platforms! The MIT Research Slam is organized by Career Advising and Professional Development (CAPD), the Communication Lab, the Writing and Communication Center, and the Graduate Student Council External Activities Board.
