About this Event
As the saying goes, justice delayed is justice denied. Seeing the devastations of recent floods in Pakistan and Florida with thousands of lives lost, millions of people displaced, and billions of dollars drowned under water; this workshop walks the talks on climate justice not tomorrow, but today - by retrofitting public spaces as our first line of defense for climate induced catastrophe.
This workshop encourages reimagining the everyday and mundane built environment around us for multiple purposes to enhance climate resilience. By retrofitting public spaces, by improvising design, and by rethinking street and park-furniture at vulnerable places; we can fast forward the delivery of justice and equity. The workshop format encourages participants to play, reimagine and design the fixtures and installations at our landscape.
