Do you create copyrightable works of art, architecture, and design all the time, and also need to make use of things created by others? It is important to know your rights how to legally use other’s work, and protect or share your own.

In this workshop you will learn:

  • what those rights are (a bundle called copyright);
  • what happens to copyright when you publish;
  • how you can reuse and build on your own and others’ work;
  • how you can hold onto rights to openly share and reuse your work.

We will also talk about MIT’s open scholarship policies and how these affect rights in your thesis.

Come empower yourself to gain agency in the copyright system.

Faculty, staff and students are welcomed to this online workshop.

RSVPs required.
